Para os eleitores de 52 cidades (entre elas, 15 capitais), a eleição ainda não terminou. Eles terão que voltar às urnas mais uma vez, para a votação em 2º turno, no dia 27 de outubro. O número é menor do que em 2020, quando 57 municípios tiveram 2º turno. O turno suplementar acontece em cidades com mais de 200 mil eleitores em que nenhum dos candidatos tenha conseguido metade mais um dos votos válidos na 1ª fase das eleições.
