As declarações foram feitas pelo coordenador especial para o Processo de Paz do Oriente Médio, Tor Wennesland, durante a reunião realizada em Nova Iorque, nesta quinta-feira, no Conselho de Segurança.

Wennesland listou a tragédia humana da guerra em Gaza, o grave risco de escalada regional e o conflito israelense-palestino não resolvido aliados à ocupação contínua como fatores que se combinam para criar uma situação combustível no Oriente Médio.
