Durante a comemoração dos 51 anos da Empresa de Pesquisa Agropecuária (Embrapa), nesta quinta-feira (25), a ministra da Ciência, Tecnologia e Inovação, Luciana Santos, anunciou o investimento de R$ 21 milhões para o desenvolvimento de soluções tecnológicas que envolvam a água na região semiárida. O MCTI também oficializou uma parceria com a Embrapa para monitorar a emissão de gases de efeito estufa pelo setor agropecuário.
A cerimônia contou com a presença do Presidente da República, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, e foi marcada pela assinatura uma série de acordos entre a Embrapa e outros órgãos, como o MCTI.
