A visibly emotional Andy Murray waved at the Stade Roland-Garros crowd amid chants of “Murray! Murray! Murray!” as he brought the curtain down on a decorated tennis career on Thursday, 1 August at the Olympic Games Paris 2024.
Murray ran out of lives at Paris 2024 as his retirement finally arrived with a doubles defeat.
It was the end of the road for the tenacious Scot and men’s doubles partner Dan Evans at this year’s Olympics.
